So Naomi, my youngest daughter, is almost 3 years old. She and I were out the other day getting her picture taken to mark the occasion. Our appointment was at 11:45 am, giving us plenty of time for the photo shoot, lunch, and Naomi’s afternoon nap. Or so I thought.
We took a small pie button along, so that Ruth, our photographer, could snap a few pics of Naomi holding the little pie. Once we had taken the pictures, Ruth suggested that we look them over and choose our favorites. We got busy in front of the computer screen, picking out the best photos, chit-chatting as we worked. Naomi played next to us; first with Ruth’s play kitchen, and then with her little dog Sophie. Before we knew it we had lost track of time, and it was 1:45 pm!
We probably would have kept right on working, forgetting all about lunch, but 3 year olds do not skip meals. Naomi climbed up on my lap, smiled at the pretty pictures of herself holding the beautifully packaged pie, and said, “Mom, let’s eat the pie.” Need I say more?
Love the picture! I am so proud of you Vonnie and I think I may need to see how much shipping is to Louisiana!
